And She's off!!

She's gone. The dust has finally cleared over on Heidi Way and we are ready to continue on in our lives. My mom has had a really hard time, but I have been trying my best to help her whenever she needs it! I was in Glenn's Ferry, ID this past weekend for a family reunion (not my family reunion, but my Uncle's wife's family. Yah its kinda weird that I go with them, but who cares! Haha it is super fun!) and on Saturday I got a call about my audition! I got the part in Anything Goes!! Anyways I called my mom to tell her about the show and before I could say anything she cut me off to tell me that a letter had come! She was so excited and I was so glad that she could hear some good news from my sister! :) My mom is such an amazing lady and I am grateful that she is always supporting me. She helps me do so much, and move forward in the things that I want to do. I love you so much mom and please know that I am always there for you! So now we wait for the next letter, and the next one, oh and the one after that. :)

Thinking.....

This last week has been crazy!!! Summer is leaving tomorrow (sad... more about that next time) and I have been auditioning for a show in Centerville. Because I have been doing this it has made me think, Wow! I must love theatre..... Like a lot. Someone asked me once about what theatre means to mean and how it makes me feel. Well here you go!

Theatre. A simple 7 letter word yet probably one of the hardest, most complicated, yet fulfilling thing a person could do in life. From the beginning of the long show process you have the chance to make wonderful friends and sometimes enemies :). Yes, it is singing and dancing and acting, but it is just so much more than that. Better than any drug (well I have never tried drugs, but yah it is better. I think.) The adrenaline of waiting behind the curtain, hearing the audience chatter. The lights dim. The orchestra (or recorded tracks if your orchestra isn't the best haha) starts the first notes of the overture and you just feel like you could rule the world. The smell of Ben Nye foundation mixed with Aussie Super Hold hairspray in the air. The soft clink of your tap shoes as you tiptoe across the stage. The sudden urge to go to the bathroom right as the curtain opens. The lights come up and you are there. You have made it! You perform you heart and soul out (sometimes VERY literally). After the show is over, you just feel the buzz of the audience as you greet them. Your work here is done.

Wow, I sure do love this business. Yes Mom, I know you don't really want to drive me 40 minutes to Centerville 6 days a week, but I means more than you know to mean. Well maybe you can see that now.

Can you say rewind??

Wow can I just like hit the rewind button? Like for just a minute? Our time has just gone SO fast. Wow. I can't even believe it. 3 days and I send me little sissee out into the lord's field. Although it is "white and ready to harvest", maybe I could just take a little swoop on down to El Salvador with the tractor and maybe that would give us some more time. When I look at 18 months, just lying there on the glossy paper of the family calendar it looks like just a few pages with lines on it. I am a high school student. I better be able to bear a few pages with lines. But it really is a lot more that just that. I keep looking at my best friend and I keep have to just catch my breath and pinch myself. It doesn't seem real. Well at least for now.

It sure as heck will in 3 days time.

Oh well. She will be the greatest missionary ever! Love you Sum Bum!

Discoveries

The countdown has been happening for days now. But today, it's 7 days. Yes that is one week. When we buy milk, she will leave before it expires. That is CRAZY!! Even though this has really been a crazy couple of days, we still have had the chance to make new discoveries. New things that we love and now we can't share them for 18 months. But that's okay! haha so some of these are hers. Some are mine. And some are ours. Yet they are discoveries.

Cafe Rio Mint Limeade:

Yah I think it is one of the most disgusting things I have ever tasted, yet Summer things it is the bomb. When she likes something though, she likes it. We have been there probably 5 times since last week so that she can have her limeade fix.

A place to print cute things (summer's words):

She found a place that she can do what she loves for cheap. I think it gives her a high sometimes, to design something and then see it in person. She is very talented and I love to see her like something so much. haha sorry this is getting kind of crazy but whatever.

Bones:

I just found this show the other day at the gym. It was like the 6th or 7th season that was on but I was hooked. I was so into it with my headphones that I didn't notice my dad had come up behind me. I probably looked like an idiot because he freaked me out! It was kind of funny. Anyways, this show is really gross. Dead and decaying bodies yet a really hilarious storyline. Seriously. You should watch it.

The Huxtable Family:

We just watched the second to last episode of the Cosby Show (Thank heavens for Netflix!! The man who invented seriously should win something.) Summer was going to start the next episode and I stopped her. I just couldn't do it. I could not accept the fact that all of the fun time we had had watching that show could be over in just a short 21 minutes. That is kind of the feeling I am having right now. These next 7 days are my last 21 minutes with the huxtables :(.

Wow Summer is a wonderful girl. She has helped me in so many of struggles in life. And now it is my turn to help her. I love you summer! You already are, and you will continue to be a fantastic missionary. I love you so much!

13 days....

My sister Summer, whom I love a lot, is going on a mission. Wow, I seriously I didn't ever think that I would be saying this (no offense to you Summer....). I thought that I would be the first person in the family to serve a mission but apparently I was wrong. I struggle every day with my decision on whether I am or not.. (mostly because I am a momma's boy.. but that is besides the point). I have a very strong testimony of the church and I am very grateful for everything in the Church. My sister has a very strong testimony also and I am so grateful for her example to me. I will miss her terribly but I know that our family will be blessed because of her service.

So now we wait.

Welcome to the show

I do a lot of amazing things in life. Yet I have never journaled about it. So here you go! I may be

talking to nobody but that is okay! Let me start off with an introduction to myself.

Hi! I'm Spencer!

I am 15 (Almost 16, 11 days away). I live in Erda, Utah... don't worry if you don't know where it is, no one does. It is a great place to live but I LOVE the big city!

NYC is my favorite place in the world and I will be living there someday! I would consider myself a dancer.......

but I act and sing as well (although not as well as I would like :). My life is amazing and I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and love the Lord! He is my everything and I am grateful for everything he has done for me.

Is there anything else I should be saying?

Maybe someday I will get the hang of this!
